Tibbs' life is clearly in danger but he perseveres in a highly charged and racially explosive environment until the killer is found. Directed by Norman Jewison and starring Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger, the film won 5 Academy Awards including best picture and best actor, is 1 hour and 50 minutes in length and is rated PG 13 for adult themes.
