37th Annual African American History Festival/Round Table Discussion

African American History Festival/History of Kanisa House and Dred Scott Garden Round Table Discussion. The event is designed to uplift and inspire African Americans and the community. The African American History Festival shares history to reduce fears, myths and misunderstandings by removing barriers so that all people can live, learn, work and play together as equals. 


The event will also deal with the history of Kanisa House and the Dred Scott Garden.  The C.O.R.E. Team will be discussing the significant events and roles the Kanisa House and the Garden play in Lorain County. Kanisa House is and was part of the Underground Railroad and the home of the first policeman in Elyria. Volunteer opportunities will be presented.
